Course Description

The Ship-to-Ship (STS) Operations Training Course is a comprehensive program designed to equip maritime professionals with the knowledge and practical understanding required to safely plan, execute, and manage STS transfer operations.

The course covers all critical aspects of STS operations, including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, vessel maneuvering, mooring and fendering systems, cargo transfer procedures, and emergency response protocols. Requirements

• Basic understanding of maritime operations and shipboard safety practices
• Prior experience onboard tanker vessels or marine operations (preferred)
• Familiarity with navigation, mooring, and cargo handling procedures
• Knowledge of international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, ISM Code)
• Completion of basic safety training (STCW or equivalent)
• Ability to understand operational risk assessments and safety protocols
• Good communication skills for coordination during operations
• Physical and mental fitness to perform operational duties in marine environments
