Course Description

Build understanding of infrastructure planning for marine assets (dry docks, berths, yards), covering capacity planning, condition assessment and lifecycle costing

Outcomes

Participants will be able to evaluate infrastructure condition and capacity needs, and apply CAPEX/OPEX and riskresilience considerations to marine infrastructure decisions.

Relevant SOLAS/ISM principles; ILO Code of Practice: Safety and Health in Ports (Revised 2016); infrastructure standards

Requirements

Basic understanding of maritime terminology, port/terminal operations, cargo-handling processes, and the UAE maritime industry, with the ability to understand basic operational data and KPIs; no prior professional maritime experience is required.
