Overview
Course Description
This 3D animation provides a comprehensive visual overview of the LNG bunkering process, demonstrating the safe transfer of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from the supply source to the receiving vessel. It covers pre-bunkering planning, safety checks, equipment setup, communication protocols, transfer operations, emergency shutdown procedures, and post-bunkering activities. Through realistic 3D visualization, the module enhances understanding of LNG bunkering procedures, operational hazards, and industry best practices while promoting compliance with international standards such as the IGF Code, IMO guidelines, and SIGTTO recommendations.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this module, learners will be able to:
- Understand the principles and stages of the LNG bunkering process.
- Identify the equipment, systems, and safety measures used during LNG bunkering operations.
- Conduct pre-bunkering checks and ensure effective communication between all involved parties.
- Apply safe procedures for LNG transfer, monitoring, and emergency shutdown (ESD) operations.
- Recognize potential hazards associated with LNG handling and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.
